Uraling on Guanella Pass Road

Just a reconnaissance ride before the end of the year, perhaps before the end of the world if the Mayans were right....went up Guanella Pass Road from Grant side to see how far up I could get on my 2011 Ural Patrol, Valencia.

Turns out, I made it all the way to the gate that bars the way to the summit now that the National Forest Service has closed the pass for the Winter. Such a mild winter so far, I wonder how much snow we'll get by the time the next Elephant Ride happens in February of 2013.
