I already wrote this a couple times, I'm the guy that'll keep the exhaust stock
on 99,9% of bikes, as I like'em quiet and legal, but on the NC.. man.. an
Akrapovič can would be on it in a second.

I don't like the intake sound either, and there's some mechanical noise
(clicking if you will) coming from the engine too, and it's often louder then
the exhaust (which has a great tone, just needs 2-3dB more).

Anybody here have comparative measurements of the width of the bike with OEM bags, versus the Trax versus various Givis?

I have Givi V 35's on mine. There about 38'' wide Outside to Outside. Can't help with the OEM's sorry.

Sorry, I don't have a measurement but here's a pic of my Givi Trekker 33L bags from the rear. I'm on vacation in FL. and didn't bring a tape.

Man I've loved that bike since I first saw it on here. Love the overall look of it. Think I might use this as a model for building mine up. How tough is it to install the centerstand, and how do you like it? I loved that on my last bike (scooter), and think I'd like it on this bike.

In my mind, that's kinda like saying nice Jeep, but I think I'll just get a Hummer and forget about it. Building it up, and making it your own is part of the fun.

I guess you didn't get the memo that the NC700X is "Adventure in style only" and should only be used as a commuter.

I sure hope no one tries to do any touring on this bike!!....Oops too late I did. MUST REMEMBER; its only a commuter, its only a commuter,its only a commuter..............

I think they got rid of it for 2013 everywhere.

Thanks, Geiger and Cortez. Very helpful. That is a pretty skinny back end with bags that look fairly chunky! Must be the bike's skinny original butt. :grin: I mean, my 599 with the little E 21's is a bulbous 37" wide by comparison, a similar stature bike.

I agree, rowdy. The fun is the making it your own. Love seeing everyone's add-ins.

I love the 919 (and 599, but more 919) tho!
