Thanks, I've not posted anything yet... Though, one day soon there should be a write up.
You can check out a bit from my amusing trip through the Americas - the link is in my signature below.

The trip reports from RoadHD are great. I was getting kinda bummed because I only had a 09 Road King and it seemed like everyone else had all these cooler bikes. I figured I was doing ok in general as I was certainly getting more miles done then "normal" riders. After seeing what he did with his bike in South America, I was just like "well hell that is pretty damn cool".
This year I have been Dallas to vegas via carlsbad, el paso, tucson, all backroads in AZ into vegas and back. Dallas to Albuquerque NM, up into colorado, across and up to bluff utah, grand canyon, flagstaff az across back to dallas. Dallas to nashville down to Birmingham and back across to dallas. A couple of Dallas to chicago and back trips. Then just a bunch of rides through Tx hill country. States visited though missing Alabama, Tn, and Wisconsin forgot to check the box... ![]() Taken while riding to Vegas via route described above ![]() my bike in general:

The front tire also started to crack/split around each knob, but it didn't become pronounced until a few thousand miles. I really liked the Duro in the front, way more stability in the sand and light mud and ran well for over 10k miles - after a while, I just ignored that they seem to be ripping apart... I switched the front tire yesterday (from London-Turkey, Egypt to Zambia) for a stock Dunlop (I'm anticipating way less mud on roads in Southern Africa). I'm sure I could have ridden another thousand miles on the Duro - but center knobs wore unevenly and the front tire started to vibrate/bounce at 30-45mph. Finding replacement 16" tires that can handle the weight of a cruiser has proven impossible in Africa. Had I to do it over again, I would have switched to 17" mag rims, loads more tire options.

Thanks RoadHD. Been thinking about changing rim sizes for that reason. Sometimes you just gotta find out what's down the dirt road.
