Took my brother out to Byrds to give him a moto lesson.
A couple pics of the property:

This is a lower area by the camp ground. Lots of jumps and climbs to play on. Great place for practicing new skills or just warming up. We are thinking about setting up a mini trials section in here.

Plenty of logs to practice an play on. Krabill here showing my brother Jesse to cross a log.

The property criss crosses mulberry creek and a few others. Jesse experimenting with rocks and water.

Went riding at Byrds last weekend. It had rained all morning and it was SLICK!

Thinking pretty seriously about attending this thing. Never been to Oklahoma or Arkansas, but I do have in-laws in Medicine Lodge Kansas that would make for a good half way stop-over.

Isn't there some sort of trail that heads down from Colorado? The TAT or something?

Are there going to be longer dirt rides through the area, or just OHV / ATV park kind of stuff?

Hope you can make it. Yes the TAT would be a good choice. You could pick it up in Trinidad and ride it all the way to the rally. It probably is within a mile or two of rally headquarters. Medicine Lodge would only be about a 45 mile diversion each way from the TAT.

Most of the riding at SLAP is day trips on anything from paved twisties, graded gravel, very un-maintained dirt/gravel to single track. Take your pick.
