Nissan pushed back production until late first quarter or early second quarter of 2013 .

I went down to Mercedes and got a Sprinter 144" short roof today ! I got tired of waiting for the big three ( Ford/GM/Dodge) to make a euro style van for the US market and then having to wait a year or more to get one !
I walked into the dealer and the Sprinter sales guy wasn't a dick ! Then he introduces me to the GM who is a KTM rider , not bad ... We go back to service and the lead service tech has his BMW Single parked in the back of the Sprinter bay... Then we go to the service manager and he rides a BMW 800 Adventure .
So we go in to make the deal and the sales guy says makes me a sweet deal on the van . It was like " Pinch Me" , I must be dreaming.... The paperwork was painless , no bullshit upsale from anyone and I had errands to run and will go back this afternoon and pick up my new van . Load it up in the morning and go racing this weekend .

I have been dreading buying a new van and I was prepared for alot of bullshit car dealer crap , but they made me feel at home and when I left the dealer I felt like I wasn't raped and begging for a new van so I could just leave ! What a concept ! Customer Service !!

And when I find it I can either sell this one off to my surfer/stoner little brother or use it for parts.

This is the newest car I've ever owned...
I had an '87 4x4 5 speed; one of the best vehicles I ever owned, until I bought the Delica.
The only thing to watch for on those is overheating and the head warping or head gasket going. Probably due to the lack of air flow with the engine placement. Make sure the thermostat's good and keep the rad free of sand and dirt

Not like you wouldn't have a roof over your head. Besides, what could go wrong?

What could go wrong? It's written on the front of the van. And it doesn't say First On Race Day.

Hum....my friends drove an old converted Dodge school bus/van all the way from Quebec down into the deep south and across, back up to BC. 4-5 years ago??? Most probably in a worse shape than the above conversion.Sure has a 318 in it from the 70's, older than the van. Then used it to live in, so it hardly moved for that time.

Did not move at all the last 2 years, they just flew in and drove it back. One flat and a few quarts of oil.....! LOTS of gasoline!

I sure had my doubts about their vehicle,, I have worked on it for them....

So they made a little video for me and the other naysayers.....
