This looks interesting

Hmmm Easier to store than indidual wrenches and lighter than a multitool.

All that time and effort to get into shape only to have hereditary factors kick my butt.

If you don't hear from me after Friday, you'll know it didn't end well. . (I keed...I keed....I expect no issues!)
I wish you the best.

I don't have problems until I go above 190bpm. At that point, I feel like I can't get enough air. I guess that's my "red zone".

Don't need one on a road bike and I already have 2 separate 'travel-size' chain tools for mtn biking. One of my chain tools is older than some of the people I ride with!

So, I set out to buy a facing tool because I really enjoy working on bikes just as much as riding. Whoa, $300 plus for a good tool, that was for the head only, BB set up is additinal.

I totally understand the principles but wondered if it was truly necessary. What did the shop charge you for such a service?
I looked into those tools...then went down to the LBS. They're expensive!

I was charged $35 and I think that's a decent price. I get good deals on service there. I read up on whether or not I should have it done and like usual, some said yes and others said it wasn't necessary. My reasoning for having it done was that it wouldn't hurt and since I was dealing with a bare frame, now would be the time to do it. This is a middle of the road build too. Nothing fancy.

Sorry to hear that. Missing out on a day like today in Dec is almost criminal.

I can't say I went for a run 'cause there was lots of stopping and going on 'cause my co-hare and I were 'planning' Sun's trail, but I did jog a bit today.

Not the same as riding. Not at all!

Winter might be here soon. It's pissing down rain for the second day this week since Monday. Arrgh. At least I got out yesterday for 11.4 miles of single track... in shorts. It was 63 degrees.

Rain/snow mix, here. Dropping to 19deg F, by nightfall, with 1"-3" overnight.

That was easy.

They rolled me into the cardiac cath lab at 0825 and I was back in the recovery room at 0905. They found no blockage which is a great relief.

I need to watch my cholesterol and we need to determine why I get dizzy when my HR goes over 175 or so but, with a family history of heart issues and atherosclerosis, it's great to have confirmation of no blockage and no structural issues.

You can start by taking off that silly HR monitor Gerry. That and a glass of red wine a day. Keep on keeping on.
