I was surprised what a wasted K60 would do in the sand tapped in third.

Salmon Glacier on a miserable day, third time I tried to get there was the charm, have been turned away in the past by snow and washouts.

i've biked out west tons of times, however nothing beats getting off the chair lift, climbing a few more hours with your gear over your shoulders, one step at a time, then strapping on the board for the ultimate adrenalin rush. I have been negligent in not returning to this thread for a while. The 2012 riding season saw a new steed with the KLR being traded out for a KTM 990 Adv. Trips included an early season run through Montana and Wyoming and a late season ride through Idaho and Washington State, including the Olympic Peninsula. In between were rides through southern Alberta and BC and a ride through northern BC and into the southern Yukon. I put a total of just over 18,000 kms on the new bike. I will post a few photos at a time over the next couple of months while I wait for spring and what is shaping up to be another great year of riding!
