I think ADV'r are seeded according to speed factors, but being that there are no speedfactors availble for them mostly, they get seeded in back. If youre liable to make a good placement, why are you in ADV class, anyway?

The only difference between ADV and the competitive classes is mental. Otherwise, functionally, you'd never know. THeres a lot to the rally other than just riding though, so its nice not to have the little pressures of making sure the time card is right and worrying how fast you can go. Nice at first to take your time and practice going through those motions, while youre all jacked up and excited and tired

that's what I thought. just wanted to clarify that it's SOP. from some discussion in WV this year (i forget where or when, maybe the noob orientation??) it sounded like that was a new format over previous races/years when cars and bikes were combined to some degree.

I think what they did was run cars concurrently but on other stages. Like, the bikes ran one stage over here while the cars ran that one, and then they switched. It changed the amount of volunteers required to staff positions, but it made it so that the rally train wasnt 50 vehicles long, so it actually made things move more quickly.

It was entertaining to be near the cars when it was time to run the stage backwards.

I just noticed on the pament options for early registration there is a Deluxe and a Basic package.? What's that about??? It's a $40 difference.
