ahh... gear off... Depends on the fuel requirement, the safari tank of course fills from the front but it makes it top heavy untill it balances out.... It is nice getting big milage though.

I was thinking, if you had the rraid gas cap, connected a 12 inch tube then capped that. that tube would come up through the gear to fill. just a thought...

The 2012's have the fuel vent run to the tank instead of the fuel cap like the earlier 690s. So at least that complication is out of the way. I'm hoping with the current setup, to be able to just slide the GL forward at refills, then quickly strap it back in place.

I ordered both the Stever and Simmer versions of this to see how it does. My gasoline powered Coleman is great for long trips, fill the little fuel bottle every few days while you are gassing up and you can cook anything you want. Still smaller and lighter is better for the RR if it works

Two versions - one for boiling, the other geared more towards cooking. IOW, lower flame. Pack super small and are light weight.

I do not have that much of a problem with mine (690 and GL). Now I also have the TT gas cap vs stock, now that would be a PITA.
