I bet it sounds pretty nice with the Dunstall(?) mufflers on it. Nice work, not too overdone, and totally usable as a daily runner.

![]() I'd like to add to the list of complements on your build. I wouldn't have seen the potential, in the before, but you've make a silk purse from a sows ear. Would like to see more photos, or a build thread if you've got one. |

![]() ![]() ![]() This is my 1975 860 GT. It is the first Ducati I ever bought, purchased for $900 in 1979. I am the 4th owner and have had it for 33 years . When I got it the stock tank was painted black and the sidecovers came in a box.The odometer showed 15,000 miles but, was inoperative. The carb slides were about 1/4 inch out of sync, once that was fixed it went rather well. After haveing the bike about 5 years I changed the tank and fenders to early 750 style with fiberglass pieces from Syd's Cycles of St. Petersburg , Fl. My friend Harry did the paint to match the 125 twin factory racer that Alan cathcart used to own. I had it together in time for Biketober Fest and the races at Daytona in 1984. ![]() Here it's in the D.I.O.C. corral in the infield at the track.

I like it! how about a shot of it now days? I fell in love with Ducati's back in the mid 70's, but didn't own one untill a few years ago. Still in lust over those early ones however

Thanks JB , about the only change from the photos is braided brake lines on the front and 10,000 more miles. It's been put up for a few years now. Maybe time to pull it back out ?

Probably past time
we could race to see who gets thier project back on the road first. I've got two that need doing. '71 R75/5 and a 98 ST2. I'm trying to get the airhead roadworthy by summer, but the Ducati gives me a dirty look everytime I walk past it. |

Good point.
I took the Duc with me the only time I've been to Biketoberfest and seeing this old pic made me believe this was that time. When you pointed out the Paso I had to rethink. This shot was from Bike Week ,spring '88. I took the 860 for a street ride after racing my 250 at the AHRMA races earlier in the week. The DIOC meet was during the 200 on Sunday. Thanks for the memory jog.
