What, no zombie apocalypse?
No massive tidal waves?
No explosions?

Great.
Now we have to figure out what to do next year...

But, first, I guess I'd better finish making those xmas_gifts.

Anyway, here's a little something to get everyone in the holiday mood...

A motorcycle coozie of the highest order.

None of my bikes have ever been clean enough to even consider that treatment, unless the yarn used was brown, black and dark grey.

Hey Wans,

That last post was just classic Kelly! I clicked on ALL the clips and it was just a smorgasbord of entertainment.
Thank You!

Particularly liked the "Ding, Fries are Done".

When I was in college I worked at a Burger King. I stayed in the back and made sandwiches and fries. Our fry vats were automated. To "put fries down" you hit a button that lowered the baskets, and then timed the fry cycle. When the fries were done, it automatically raised the fries and gave 5 or 6 audible beeps to let you know that they were done. While working there, I lived on campus in a dorm that was made of concrete block. The sound traveled right through those walls. My next door neighbor had an alarm clock that HAD THE EXACT SAME TONE as the fry vat timer. No shit, five days a week I'd get roused from my alcohol and THC induced slumber by my neighbor's alarm clock ....and the first thing I'd think for the day was "Shit, the fries are done"!

So I really got a good chuckle out of that. Ding, fries are done......... ding, fries are done ............ ding, fries are done ......

Thanks for all the first class entertainment this year!

Happy Holidays!

Rob

Thank you sooo much for this fantastic ride report! I love your style in the report Little Wan and both your abilities as riders is (are?) amazing. I used to think I was all that till I read this RR. You two ROCK!!! Thanks also for taking my mind off of my new fiberglass leg cast for the last four days. Congrats on the anniversary, I can't think of a better way to celebrate one!

Merry Christmas Wans!

May all your rides be an adventure.

It wasn't there!
Anyone hear anything about it being found?
JustPaul?

Maybe it was a non-ADV hiker?
That's a pretty prominent cairn.

At any rate - don't waste any time trying to find the Lippincott Cone - it's gone!

Nope not me..

Matt and Kelly thanks for all your hard work on these amazing Ride Reports.

For you other RR readers there next Ride report is here

Hey, read your report a when it came out. and thought it was pretty cool. Today i hiked the traverse you rode on pg 34 on the way up to Mt Archibald. I can't believe you brought bikes through that. It was a bit sketchy on foot in some places. Amazing!!
Oh, and the drop off.... Pictures don't quite capture it. Too bad about the fog, it was a truly amazing view!

Hi kOnwater!

Wow, the Traverse - that must have been a gorgeous hike!

I'm so impressed that you remembered seeing it in the RR, and then took the time to come back and post a year later.
Do you have any fog-free photos to share? I'd love to see them...

Matt and I enjoyed re-watching the videos from that evening...

Wow, that was a fun day!

It's so cool that you brought this up, it has been a long time since we've seen page 34...

And, what interesting timing -
On wednesday, we're going to be meeting back up with Radek and Lica!

A group of us are riding out to Colorado, it ought to be a blast!

Colorado has been done to death this year, so I'm not sure if I'll be doing a report.
I'll have to see if a story reveals itself along the way...

p.s. Twilight Error, ROAD DAMAGE, panhead_dan (hope your leg is all healed up!), Liebchen & Izzy, and JustPaul -
thank you so much for the kind words! I was pretty fried at the end of this RR and may not have thanked you at the time.
Just re-read your comments again...
sometimes I'm blown away by the nice things our RR readers participants post.
Thanks, you guys!

It doesn't matter that CO has already been done to death your reports always have a fresh perspective that others don't find. I hope that ride report reveals it's self and you do a report.

Have a great time!

Hey little Wan

Would be totally cool to meet you and Big Wan. Living just a little south of Boulder on the flatirons. Have really enjoyed your RRs, and don't know if I will ever have a chance to go to any of the rallies or meet and greets. Please let me know if we can all get together. My schedule is wide open, just say when or if you will be in the Denver area.
