Done that plenty although only ever to make space for my own bike. Luckily, scooters are easy to lift and shift.

Isn't England where you leave the car in neutral with the brake off so people can nudge you a bit to make room for their car?
Or was that just me in France?

I didn't read all the post's, but why couldn'l you park next to the BMW, were you on private land? If you weren't on his land, who is he to tell you where you can park. If i told someone here not to park next to me, i'd end up in a hospital

My tuppence..
IMO people that get pissed off when they ask a favour and get told "no" need to grow up a bit. If hearing "no" will upset you, it's best to not ask at all. Maybe this guy was a jerk, maybe he wasn't. You just don't know. As for the shiny/trailered bike haters - again...so what? The way I see it the more people that purchase bikes the better. So they don't ride as much as you do, do you ride as much as others? Probably not. Do you measure kudos in miles? in mud? by scratches on the bike? The fact is you see the bike clean, you see it on a trailer and you make a judgement. Same guy, same bike but a day earlier? in the mud? on the road? You make a different judgement. Same guy and same bike but a day later but at a bike show? Different judgement. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ you're = a contraction for "you are" = "You're not an umbrella!". your = a possessive adjective = "Your umbrella is very nice".

to the OP, Not sure I'd paint all GS riders with your broad brush, but that's just me. And seriously, is your ego so brittle that hearing "no" sets you off. If so, don't travel in developing countries....
But seriously, I'd let you park next to me even if I'd just washed all the road grime off my GSA. Cheers, Steve

I can't blame the OP or the trailer queen for being bitchy. If I was traveling on the interstate and staying in a freaking motel6 I'd be bitchy too. I hate those places. I'll take the curry and samosa infested motel any day.
Stick to the farm gravel roads and you won't wear out those TKC's so fast. ![]() Also sell the damn GS and buy a KLR with faded plastic. Never again will you be mistaken for a chrome clone or a Starbucks jockey.
