Take the Bark Point Road out of Herbster to the east, it follows Lake Superior and takes you to a small public access actually for pretty large boats. Myself and some other pie eaters stop there on our way to or from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Years back, me and the GF were vacationing and found the area to be great. I do spend lots of time in Northern, Minnesota though, typically staring across the water in your general direction...  I am about 6.5 hours south of the MN-Canada border but hunt and motorcycle up that way.

I believe we stopped at Herbster Park on the return trip from the NOFAR ADV Rally held near Sault Ste Marie this past May.
Jimtoe, 2Whlrder and myself... we stopped for a self portrate and nature break.  This may be the same dock, as in your photo.   Jimtoe with the ADV salute !!!

Started the year with a trip to Tennesee and Alabama, to the Barbour Motorsports museum.
 Early summer ride with the buddies. Big Chute, Ontario.  Manitoulin Island  Labour Day trip to Lake Placid, NY.  overloaded for a weekend trip
