Hello fellow DR riders!
I picked up an 06 a couple of weeks ago and have the rest of winter to make it mine. Other than fluid changes and a general check up I'll be cleaning and adjusting the carb, maybe... Thats where my question comes in. Has anybody changed to a slide type carb or something else to get away from the C.V. carb? My understanding is the CV carbs give better drivability & fuel economy while sacrificing some performance. Anybody tried it? |

http://www.powersportsplus.com/parts...EAD/parts.html Buy #16 (comes with both front and rear seals) and #17 (cam plug). If this doesn't fix it it may be the valve cover gasket. |

That said, I have a Mikuni TM31 on our DR200. The TM31 was a stock carb on couple year models of Suzuki dr250 dirt model. That carb works really well on the 200 but they are almost impossible to find. I've played with TM33 and TM36 on my KLX250, I'm pretty sure the 33 would be too big for the 200. Mikko

Tire Compendium
So, I've combed the last 419 pages. Here are the 19 tires that are mentioned being used on the DR200.

What size Klay? Has anyone run the Kenda 760s in a 120 rear?

Picked up a set of Bridgestone TW301 TW302 in 3.00-21 and 4.10-18 should have them mounted in a few weeks. Use to have the same tires (different size) on a KLR250 and really like them on road and they felt better off-road than the OE 50/50's. I'll try to get some pics once theyre on the bike.

I've run a Bridgestone ED04 Gritty 120/90 in the rear and a Kenda Trakmaster II 80/100 in the front. The Gritty was awesome, on and off-road, and outlasted the stock deathwing, but the Trakmaster has been pretty sketchy on the road and is very near the end of it's useful life at just over 3000 mi.

Yes, could you please let us know which size you are running on the front and rear? (Particularly the rear, as I didn't recall seeing a matching size on their website...)
I have the 705s on my KLR650 and like them very much. Currently I'm running the Shinko 244s on my 2001 DR200SE, but would like to know the proper size for the 705s on this bike for future reference. Thanks! |

One small note: according to the Shinko website (shinkotiresusa.com), the street/dirt ratio for the 700's are 60/40, the 244s are 50/50, and the 520s are completely off-road tires (DOT legal?). Hope that info is useful, and thanks again for putting this together. |

Hello everybody, I´ve been reading this post for a few months and now that I´m registered too I want to ask you a question.
I have a 2009 DR200 with 1900 miles (almost new), and I want to know how to upgrade the generator of my bike. Look, I'm a little picky about lights, so I´ve installed the cyclope with a HID system and now I´m adding two more lights but my little DR can´t do with all the three HID´s. Anybody have an idea? By the way, I´m from Mexico and I´m 26 Nice to write to you Alejandro |
