SIDI boot wearing people, check in!

i've had my Sidi Crossfire SRS boots for 2 1/2 years and can't be happier!

i've hit my feet on rocks, bottomed out on jumps where my boots smacked the side of the trail, and i've bailed and had my bike land on my ankle and i can at least walk away. my ankle was sore but no brake.

i just replaced the soles, which was easy, but when ordering replacement screws, they only come with 10 in a pack, where as each sole needs 17. of course there are some that you can re-use, but if you have sharp off-road foot pegs, the screws in the middle are destroyed. (i have Pro Moto Billet pegs, they tear up soles of boots).

just a heads up to order 2 or 3 packs of screws when you replace your soles.

seriously though, best moto boot ever!!!

Have the SIDI Adventure Gore-tex and love them. Quality is excellent and they are really comfortable. Great buy at $300.

I just got a SIDI Charger boots for Christmas (from me to me), build quality is excellent. Those are my first MX boots, before I had a lether touring boots. Haven't had a chance to try them out yet as we have winter here.


One more thing, anyone uses Thor FORCE KNEE GUARDs with these boots? Do they go in the boot or are they to thick?

I bought mine for $298 shipped from FC moto. it took about 3 weeks to arrive and communication was nearly nonexistent... but I did get a damn good deal on a great pair of boots.

I finally decided to get some waterproof boots and bribed Santa to get me some. Sidi adventure Gore-tex, nice stuff, great fit. I have been wearing size 46 lately and that's what I ordered. They seem narrow up front but was fine for me.

I purchased through Ebay. Took about 2 weeks to get them. Shipping was under 50 bucks. I didn't even have to tip the delivery guy if you know what I mean.

price today $329. euro= $438 us that is from their website. I haven't found them on ebay yet.

one pair old SIDI adventure boots,never be sold,still work great since 2003.

One pair heavy waterproof SIDI touring boots,VERY COMFY.

One pair ventilated sportbike SIDI's,sure enough they let air in.

One pair Crossfires,best dirt boots ever.Water does not flow into these boots during creek crossings.

One pair of SIDI road bicycle shoes,fit like gloves,flow good air.

One pair SIDI Mt Bike shoes,simple and light.

If you were to choose between the Crossfire SRS and the Adventure Gore-Tex which would you get?

These are the two I am trying to decide between. My delima is I have large calves (19") and wear a 43. Researching I am almost 100% sure the Crossifre's will fit but not sure about the Adventures. I am getting back into adventrue/dirt riding and want something that has good water proof/resistant aspects.

CROSSFIRE'S. hands down.

1. sole replacement.
2. almost all the other parts are replaceable
3. the hinge works, feels "broken in" the first time you wear them.
4. best foot/ankle protection! i've had my bike land on my foot in get offs more than once, and walked (limped) away. should of been broken.
5. great customer service http://www.motonation.com/ (their U.S. distributors)
i had called in desperation for a circlip for the hinge and a few screws for the sole right before a huge 2 day ride that was coming up in a week. i called MotoNation and the guy was super cool, they sent me the few replacement parts for FREE with NEXT DAY shipping for NO CHARGE! no one does that. great customer service!
6. i've had mine for 2 years of riding hardcore off road, mud, sand, snow, rain, creek crossings, rocks, dunes, street, singletrack etc etc and they are still going strong. just had to replace the sole. i ride with Pro Moto Billet pegs.http://www.promotobillet.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=23 so they tear up my soles.

the Adventure Goretex don't last. maybe 1 year. i've had 2 of my friends have theirs FAIL right past the 1 year warranty. they basically fall apart at the seams, and the soles take a beating. and they are not 100% waterproof.

the Crossfires keep the water out to a certain point, but if you are in a 3+ foot deep creek or in a torrential downpour, your feet will get wet.

Discovery Rain, got 'em near new for $100 1.5 years ago, over time have replaced all the nails in the toe pieces with screws, part of one toe piece got ripped off, great boots, will buy another pair soon. The 4 buckle MX boots on the right were stored in the attic since the late 1990s, all the plastic/rubber deteriorated and crumbled, they were always uncomfortable as hell anyway. Thinking about trying to repair them with some baseball shin guards for the uppers, the lowers are still in good shape.
