Well, guys.....I looked at it, touched it etc. It is pristine! The owner took it off the market for three weeks, while he and his wife travel back to WI. I'm not "dialed in" to this bike, but having seen it, it's just damned nice.

Here's a pic of mine. Got it early this spring. Need to get more recent pics. I got rid of the k100 forks and got a real set of k75's with the fork brace. The seat was replaced with a Corbin that I recovered. I added some bar end weights as well. I really love it.

I'll bet that is the only K-Bike in the world with an R65 fairing. Pretty cool.

Tall Windshield for '85 K100RS
I am looking at a 1985 K100RS to do some long range touring with, but would like a tall windshield to keep me out of the elements.
The bike is much more sporty than my riding style, (old man), so I'm not really concerned with any characteristics above about 75 mph. Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks, James |

How much is a second hand tank (K75 or K100)? You might find these fairly cheap, but the speedos are more expensive. If the leak is from the fuel pump entry then it is only an O ring, same for the fuel cap. Price the bits you want and see if you can talk him down? No problem, I'm glad to help.
You might want to take a look at motobrick.com , there is a ton of brick info there. Rich

I stepped up to a K12RS too! Finally decided to just go get a 21st century motorcycle. Still love the K100 tho. I want to sell mine, but It's such a great bike. Probably regret it as soon as it rolls out of the driveway.

trusty but a bit ugly
had a K100 RT for years. Pulled like a freight train and smooth as a giant electric motor. Frightening effects in a cross-wind and the fairing was too narrow for my knees. Kind of a shame sales never achieved their expectations because it was a great bike. Used to get lots of compliments. Dependable as hell, too.
