Installed my TT front brake protection thingy, changed my tires for TR91 and changed my front brake pads. Then took it to a 1300kms ride to surprise my mother for Xmas. I love that bike

Installed my Xmas gift. Pivot Pegz MKIII. Now I think a longer shifter is in order.

Can I get feedback on those pegs? I am highly considering them...

Since we got 7 inches of snow (and salt) right after I put them on, I haven't ridden with them yet. :( But they're already a huge improvement just sitting on the bike. The rear brake pedal was way too low, but now it's perfect.

However, I made the comment about getting a longer shifter because it's now a bit harder to get my foot under the shifter because they're so wide. The fact that they pivot is a huge help, but I still think a longer shifter is in my future.

F800GS + Knobbies = Long Riding Season

Near Winchester, VA and Berkeley Springs WV.

Temperatures were between 42 to 32f, and I'm glad I had my heated gear with me. The roads were fine - I had to take it slow on the secondary roads and the gravel where it was partially covered with ice. It did get dicey in a few spots, but to my surprise I never went down - something I manage to do at least once or twice when I go off road...

What is that behind your right pannier? It looks sort of like an exhaust can?

Yes, it is the Wunderlich Varioscreen.

runnin4melife - That is my toolbox made out of an old KTM990 slip-on (thank you BikeBoy) that I hollowed out. It was BikeBoy's idea, and he did something similar to his KTM990 + he gave me the part. This way I always have my tools with me even without the panniers:
