Curious if they are any good at all or not even worth considering. I know it won't be as good as a true 4x4. I'm not looking for a offroad vehicle though, just something that could handle snowy/icy roads.
There was a guy selling one over on Expo Portal earlier this month. He had good things to say, here's the link. Might be worth checking with him.

Nice.

A GM Futurliner sold at auction for $4.1 million, highest ever.

I have one. Best "4x4's" I've owned for sloppy roads.

Shit! This came up for sale locally...

It's a 6.9 IDI; and a good homemade camper conversion.. 200k miles; he is asking $6000; a bit too much considering this is the mileage when the IP needs to be serviced/replaced...

Have had my 95 Astro for 11 years and now has 240k+ on ODO.
With my air shocks installed I have had my 94 and 95 CB1000 "Big One" in there on many occasions and miles. Also My Harley Dyna and my KTM300EXC with forks compressed and bars swung down. It can be done no problem. Just put the front wheel up against passenger seat. Still room to spare behind bike as well.
The Astro will fit a 4'x8' sheet of plywood.

If it's a 4x4 replacing the engine is still cheaper than a regular RV...

As much as that truck sounds good, the owner is a tool when it comes to posting pictures.

It's mine, if your interested feel free to throw out an offer, I'd be happy to see it go to an inmate. I carry my RM 250 inside by loading from the side, but anything bigger would be a problem to carry the way the van is configured.
