Happy New Year everyone!!!!
If anyone is looking for a set of RR EV0 1 tanks, drop me a PM, Just the tanks. I figure someone might be looking for a cheaper way to have these tanks on their bike and save a little money at the same time. You can buy the fuel tank adapter fitting on the RR UK site separately, the rest is fuel lines and a main mounting stud(threaded rod).

+1 on the TPS. I don't know how it's set on these bikes but on my carb'ed 950 it ran like crap if the TPS was off.

08-11. All the same. The 2012 are different.. the evo 2 was designed to fit the 12 and the 08-11.

Thanks,
It's got a new fuel pump, the TPS is correct, I have tried the akro map. Does the injector need to be cleaned in a ultra sound cleaner ? Anyone have the part # for a new injector ? Max

ultrasonic is really the only to get it really clean. you can blow out some crap with a carb cleaner filled tube under pressure but the vibs really clean it.

Anyone in the UK who decides to upgrade to the Evo2 tanks give me a shout if you're thinking of selling your Evo1's
Cheers Harty

I had gel seat on my 990. I would stay away, very far away from the gel seat. The seat holds heat like crazy. It feels like a nuclear reactor on your arse. It's not any more comfortable yet retains heat. Not good in AZ.

Also Maurizio ... Clearly not a deafening round of applause for the KTM gel seat ... The heat thing would be a problem here also – no rattlesnakes, and our cacti are generally less flamboyant, but otherwise a fair bit in common with Arizona ... Not much wrong with the 690, other than its awful stock seat – no problems when the ride is broken up by tight stuff (standing), but misery over 300km or so of the hard fast dirt roads ... Will keep sifting through the options for rectification – pun not intended ... |

What do you think?
I was checking my clearance today and they are loose. So tomorrow I will shim them. On one of my intake rollers it has some funny wear or deposited that I have not seen before.
![]() I have 1700 km to Tbilisi Georgia then I won't be riding for 4 months to rebuild the suspension and whatever else is needed. It seems like my only option would be to get to Georgia then order parts if this should be replaced. Your thoughts?
