Made in to Guatemala
The border was easy
I paid about $20 US to leave Belize and about $20 US to bring my bike in to Guatemala.
Still took some time to get all the stamps and paper work done
Well at leastI hoe I got it all done
Went to Tikal and walked around the ruins
Amazing
It took me about 4+ hours to see everything
I am in this little town about 20 miles south now
Got some dinner and a Gallo Beer
No wifi but I am at a internet cafe using their computers
I was going to camp
Found a place for Q35.......that{s about $5)
It was not real nice
So I found a hotel that is nice, has secure parking
The room has its own bathroom with hot water
And its only $15 a night
Maybe I am getting soft but for $10 more.....it was a no brainer
Not sure where I am going tomorrow but I have all night to dream about it
I will post pics next time I find wifi

Creekr makes a good point about inner reflection when riding alone. I've done most of my long disance rides alone and I could always think with extreme clarity. Something you cannot do sitting in a cubicle. Not to get heavy, but there is no doubt that long distance motorcycle travel is a metaphor for life's journey. Its real & raw living. It also parallels the ups & downs of life. Some good days on the road, a few crappy ones, and the occasional lonely day. One thing is for sure, you'll come back a wiser guy. Now pass the rum punch!

I cant remember te name of the place
But in Mexico, it probablt has not changed much

I need to start planning for my boat ride to Columbia soon
I am thinking late January
I will pin it down in the next couple of weeks

The camera is a waterproof Nikon
I wanted the Canon but it was 3 times as much
I figured if it takes a dump or gets lost or stolen, I can just buy another and still be better off
In the end, I wish I would have bought the Canon

I have left the land of rum punch and rasta dudes
Now it all about the Rooster (Gallo Beer)
Tomorrow I will explore beyond the rooster and see what else this country has to offer

Ecuador has really cheap Spanish immersion classes in Quito...Friend from work went and said it was great....
