Gringo go home!

I found this passage interesting. From Cities of the Plains, the third in the Cormac McCarthy border trilogy.

Quote:
You think we have not seen your kind before?...They [Gringos] drift down from your lecherous paradise seeking a thing now extinct among them. A thing for which which perhaps they no longer even have a name. By now of course longing has clouded their minds. Such minds as they may possess. The simplest truths are obscured.

Maybe this helps define why some of us ride down there. Maybe not. Just what is this "extinct thing" that we are looking for?

Pa' Guate

Hey Donnie,
Will be leaving Atlanta in a day or two to eventually reach Guate (my homeland). If you want, let me know when you come by Antigua. Will be nice to share some stories.

Hi!

Maybe Hector and I can do that! Hector is a friend from Lazaro Cardenas, MX that will be traveling with me in Guetemala and El Salvador.

Green Angeles just brought a Mexican rider on a GS into Veracruz a couple of hours ago right to
Rafael Lago' s independent shop.
Good to hear the Green Angeles are looking after riders, too.
Pleasent surprise.
