Here is what I would do; Clean the carbs the best you can, jets too. While the tank is off pull the plug wires out of the coil and clean (this can cause the intermittant electric problem you are having), Put a good carb cleaner in the tank with your gas (I use Berrymans), start it up and give it an Italian tune-up!
P.S. If you keep a chain clean and lubed, the sprockets last a long time. Those look almost new. |

Im pondering going minimalist on the project and cutting off anything that isnt needed. (but still road legal)
Also pondering about using the current tank, or doing something different - even smaller, and change the profile of the bike as a result. Frame colour - hmm - dont know not red - everyone does red - nice - but i want something different. black - maybe - but very common silver - most likely - but depends what you do with the rest of the bike gold - no - its gold now and i want it different Colour of the wheels? Not red, not gold, not black maybe yellow, maybe white, maybe silver, but all are high maintenance black is best, maybe with a yellow trim, headlight - something interesting - double strobe? taillight - LED? |

ok - was almost gonna go for a John Deere scheme
BUT have decided on Gold rims after all black frame red tappet cover red front caliper red shock spring black red and white tank black tailpiece something like that |
