I'm still trying to figure out my carb tuning.

De-Snorkeled, K&N filter with pre-filter (soon back to paper), smog removed, XR600R muffler with modified insert, Dave's mod, 55/158 jets.

I live at 250 ft elevation in the valley and the highest elevations I usually find myself at are around 5k ft. My bike seems to be running rich. MPG's are pretty low (35) and when I went on a ride with a friend of mine he said it smelled pretty rich. Plug color seems to affirm this as well. At first after Dave's mod I was at 2-1/4 turns out and plug was very dark, then tried 2 turns out and still dark. I'm at about 1-1/2 turns now and still seems a bit rich but I haven't checked the plug yet.

Should I switch to 52/155 jets and try it out? When I got the bike it had a Supertrapp and 52/162 jets and it was getting 50mpg.

I started at 2-1/2 turns out and it was too rich. Doesn't turning the screw in (clockwise) make it leaner?

Yes. But are you fat at idle or on the main?

Try 55/155

Well I did supposedly , I Give it to him , but never rec's payment , waited about 6 months and still no Dineros .

So when Tom asked about getting it back cause he had a special project for it ,

The repo Man had to go into action and get my clutch back .

I damn near had to put my hands on him to MY STUFF back .

Its crazy when people get mad at you when you ask them for something they owe .

I was like man , You gonna pay me for that clutch , cause if not, I need it back ,

That SOB had the nerve to tell me it was my fault for not asking him at the 1st of the month when he got paid ,

I said dude , there;s been about 6 1st of the months thats past and I still havent been paid , you know you owe me , Just give me my stuff back .

Then he wanted to cop the attitude .

Thats when I had to Threaten him with choking his neck like a chicken .

I'm not a violent guy , I'm a chiller , like to snack and shoot the bull .

Ok, n00b question.......

What does a Reckluse/Rev-loc do that makes it so desired?

Why does it make the bike a wheelie monster????

Don't know about the wheelie part but picture riding your bike & never having to pull in the clutch lever to shift, when taking off or when under way. Clutch engagement smoother & better than you could do it manually. No matter how tricky or rugged the terrain, never having it stall while in gear, just shift & throttle. Had two Husky's with one installed & for me was the best money ever spent & biggest improvment I ever made. I had over 12,000 miles on my 510 Husky & never a problem with the Rekluse. AZ trails, Baja, CA desert.

You don't need to have a clutch lever anymore. Then you can add a rear hand brake lever in it's place.

No more worrying about keeping your feet on the pegs is real nice.

It's also great for wheelies at speed while standing on the passenger pegs or kneeling on the seat. The hand brake provides great control for slow speed control wheelies at almost flipping angles too.

No more stalling on tough trails would be nice. There are a bunch of other benefits also.

I think one would be a blast.

Please, Spud.

You should know that if anything happens to you, it can't be your fault; it is the fault of either the greedy rich people, or the insufficient government.
