I live in Popayan , Cauca a few blocks off the Pan American. I also have a Finca and a Hotel in Cali. ( Love Nest Type Hotel. ) Been coming to Colombia for a dozen years and now living here full time. I absolutely love it here.
I am somewhat new to riding again. I gave it up for about 8 years or so while back in Florida, USA. But Colombia is a riders paradise and the bug has returned. Many of you have inspired me to start thinking about planning an adventure of larger porportions, but first i will do some traveling around Colombia before heading to other points around SA and perhaps a ride North to the USA. I spent 17 months on an AKT 150 TT because of a lack of funds. ( Building a Hotel from the ground up.......... cost more $$$ then you might think! ) last week i finally picked up a New Honda Tornado. An excellent bike for the type riding i do. I like getting around city traffic with ease and then running some back roads and riding thru the mountains. This last couple of weeks i had 2 guest riders at my home. Throttlemeister and Afear. Anybody passing thru on the way south or north, welcome to stop by. C |

Nopochicken and I are coming there Monday the 7th of January; we will be renting KLR's from Mike at Motolombia and running around like dashing bold ADVenturers for ten days.
We have no concrete plans, and not much money to see the highlights, but are willing to travel to where you are and visit your corner of the world, share a drink and a meal- tell tall tales, make friends! ![]() We'll use this thread as a primary point of contact while in country, when we get there we'll post our itinerary (as we form it) and local contact info, ALSO- I'm changing the profile on our shared SPOT device so that a local inmate (V-Duck) can link our position to this thread as we share it, when he's online. (Thanks Kevin!) We'll keep an eye on this thread and hopefully find a place to look on ADV next week when we arrive to find some direction. It's in five days.....

we've been very impressed with Mike and the way his operation is run so far; very helpful and great communications- we're really getting psyched up the closer this trip comes to beginning!!
