Exhaust Recommendations
I am looking for some recommendations for aftermarket exhaust companies. I recently bought a Yamaha Tenere and I am looking to upgrade the stock exhaust. Any ideas would be great since my knowledge is almost zero on the subject.

I have a 2012 Tenere and have the arrow headers and akropovic exshaust. I'm really liking the sound and the performance of this combination.
You may want to check the Tenere forums, here are some links: http://www.yamahasupertenere.com/ind...63280#msg63280 http://www.yamahasupertenere.com/ind...96304#msg96304 http://www.yamahasupertenere.com/ind...87596#msg87596 |

I recommend getting the loudest possible exhaust. Everyone knows it makes you faster.

Yamaha engineers know what their doing, save your money, keep it stock. There can be a weight savings at the expense of strength, but really most aftermarket exhausts just move the power band around a bit. If you think you need more power, just twist the throttle sooner and farther |

Louder certainly makes it faster. The neighbors like it too. Makes it faster because you just removed some excess $$$$'s from your wallet.

When doing my research I found that the majority of Ténéré owners put a can on it to help with the stumble issue below 3500rpm's, I'm glad I followed there advice. I run mine with the quiet insert an down spout/pipe and it's a very mellow low rumble, not loud or annoying at all.
