Pics and films from my Italiatrip with Vision 50cc

Day one: Helsingborg(Sweden)- Marielyst(Denmark)

At Helsingborg in Sweden. Vision unloaded from the Renault Trafic behind. Leave the car at "Plattis"

A tour at Plattis shop. This says all.....

T-bird, Crown Victoria and some Harleys

Fun tema. Room made for the grandchildren

Already afternoon when I manage to get away. First ferry is a short one between Sweden and Denmark.

Follow the danish coast North of Copenhagen. Stops sometimes and check out the water.

Pizza at Copenhagen. Pizza works wherever you are in the World. They who knows me guess I ordered a pizza "Vesuvio"

Canīt take the motorway, so the old Storströmsbro is my way.

Is a bridge from 1937, nice one, even for the train on other side.

Sometimes passing the motorway

Marielyst South of Denmark. Park the moped and check out the water.

And the camping.

....to be continue.

Day 2: Marielyst(Denmark) - Wittenberg(Germany)

Early morning and ready to go

Well, almost two hours to next ferry. The camping is not far away from the ferry and if I had not started to struggle between holidayhouses etc I had manage the earlier ferry.

I check in and get my boardingsticker. Denmark- Germany costs me only 8 euro. No charge for the moped.

The ferry.

Knowned bikers from Copenhagen on way to Wienna in Austria. Interwiev me with interest and liked the idea with moped.

Leaving Gedser and Denmark.

Halfway.

Rostock and Germany. Looks like the old East Germany.

Not so fun to ride slowly on this with small tyres.

Much better.

Old factory.

Thats good on moped, small roads gives me all the time also small villages.

Passing few times the autobahn.

Average fuelconsumtion seems to be 2,1 litre/100 kms

Old Simpson moped, nice! Owner sitting in the bar and drink beer.

If you like to visit churches, almost every village has one....

Passing autobahn. I can see itīs not sunday, lorrys are not allowed on sundays.

Coming to my next overnight, Wittenberg.

Campingowner very angry and wanted first not let me in. They do not like when arrive late about 8pm. Why do they then have a phonenumber on the door?
Called here again and asked for wifi and got a -"pliiiis tomorrow" "click"

Day 3: Wittenberg(Germany) -Czech Republic - Mitterteich(Germany)

Coffe is done. Have to wait for the recptionopening and meanwhile take a walk in the campingarea. Through the camping an old road from the Hitlertime?

Near Leipzig.

Big Hondadealer. Vision needs service. Have to wait until they tell me they have no time for that. Just waisting valuable time here.

Have to take few kilometres motorway and hoping no police......

Wow, wonder wintertime if this street is a nice for the bobsleights

Often small roads straight in to the Woods.

Into the Czech Republic

Small village somewhere in Czech.

Market stalls and they where many of theme...

Leave the Czech and back in Germany. Directly after border I manage to take over an another moped!?! My has topspeed 42 kms/hour so that one have to be in very bad condition?

Vision and I do not like this kind of beautiful roads

Camping outside Mitterteich.

I park here for the evening. Foos, beer and WiFi. Great and very kind staff, even told me if itīs starts to rain heavy I can walk in to a hall an overnight there.

Day 4: Mitterteich(Germany) - St Martin(Austria)

Early morning at camping Mitterteich. Of course reception closed. Today I have to find a Hondadealer for service.
It feels that people in this area is more friendly and I hope I can get help.

Before leaving the camping. I write down on a note my thanks for their hospitality.

Clean and fresh small villages.

From time to time huge climbs. Luckely they are small ones.

Bottomnote, 15.4 kms/hour

Sometimes GPS send me to the autobahn and I have to take shortcuts.

At Cham. Do not need to do this often. Ones per day when riding. At eveing I fill up.

KTM dealer helped me to get to a Hondadeal. Funny, feels like dealers are in middle of nowhere, small villages. This one in Konzell. Servictimes all booked but of course they help me on my journey.

Thanks to the dealer in Konzell and I`m on the road again.

Barge passing.

Starts to rain a little bit. At the same time I can see the alps approaching.

Into Austria west of Salzburg.

Rain has stoped when I arrive the camping at St.Martin.

Before sleep, a walk in the area. Next day will be a climbing day......

Bluhduh

Thank you Dabears

Day five: St Martin(Austria) - Corvara(Italy)

Morning and on roads again. Little bit gloomy weather but at thet moment it looks like getting better...

Zell am Zee

Road 311 to Salzburg. Itīs time to turn south now.

12 kms to the Grossglockner roadtoll. Realize I had manage easily the last inlet to the pass day Before but, how long it takes to get over the pass with moped.....?

Some kind of rally with exclusive classic cars is going on. Most of them sportscars.

The pass costs 22 euro, even for the moped.

For this 22 euro you get also a sticker....

The roadtoll.

Classic cars starts here. I sit down and lissen to great sounds.....

Uphill and Vision starts to slow down.

I stop here and there and check where I came from....

Well, thought is only carburatorbikes which with lack of oxygen loose Power when getting higher. Vision has fuelinjection and far away from the highs and real uphill my average is now about this, 11,2 kph.

This cows cant do any false steps.

First time. Zigzag over the whole road to getting forwad. A litle bigger uphill and I have to get of the moped and push it for the first time.

Fog comes and goes.

St Martin(Austria) - Corvara(Italy).....continues

Last bit. Few serpentines later Vision gives up again. It really donīt like the height. ZigZag again and ends up with I have to get of and push. On the parkingplateu 50 metres up people are watching the classic car rally and see this fully loaded moped coming all over the road. At this moment I just feel the pointing from them.

At last, on the parking. Check out the views and the old cars.

Where the people saw me coming with the Vision. Itīs not so steep, but itīs on hight mountain with ltlle oxygen.

Up to the bikerspoint. Itīs very steep and I speed up over the whole parking. manage only hundred metres and have to turn back again.

Well, at least a photo. I`m been there before on motorcycle. Funny, notice now on the photo how fast the fog is there....

From the parking, this is my way to go for downhill for Italy.

Up on the next parking. From now it`s mostly going down.

Checking out the views at Grossglockner.

Nice views. Pity the clouds are there, but in the other hand, they looks great to.

Downhill now and I give full throttle.....

Sometimes uphill and the Vision protest.

On the South of Grossglockner more snow.

Stpos sometimes and check out the views. The fog comes and goes in seconds.

A little bit uphill sometimes.

Vision less of power.

Vision gets a little break.

Fiew tunnels to.

Feels like the downhill never ends. GREAT!

.....to be continue

Roundabout in middle of all that. I choose to turn for Heiligenblut. Itīs also the road which takes me to Italy.

Downhill Grossglockner. Swedis Vision is restricted to topspeed 42kph on GPS. Give full throttle downhill and after a while the restriction release....and the speedo is then not even enough

Passing the roadtoll Grossglockner South.

Going down down down. Now, I can see the village Heiligenblut.

Steep. Gives a idea why the moped is slow uphill. In the other hand, it explains also why it goes so fast downhill. Tjohoooooo! here we come!

Arrive at the Little village Heiligenblut. Itīs about fifteen years ago I was here with a motorcycle.

Downhill to Heiligenblut.

My overnight fifteen years ago. The camping in Heiligenblut is very well known for the swedish motorcyclists and called "swedishcamping". Have just to visit the place and most in the area looked the same as fifteen years ago.

Leave the Heiligenblut. Downhill is not finnished yet.

Nice fishing.

Iīm down now. No problems with the oxygen and Vision takes the small sloopes with power and energy.

Make a long stop and check on the map. Forward to Slovenia or Dolomites? Dolomites wins.

The sign tells me, Iīm now in Italy.

Turning on the road wich goes to Venice.

Dolomites coming and the rocks are getting more rough.

The passes are many here. Starts brutal with 12% sloope. Iīm not hight yet and Vision takes the first ones easily.

A lake in the middle of all. I notice there are lot of motorcyclists taking a brake here.

Nice old Fiat 500. The very old lady was using whole road.

Forward in Dolomites to Corvara

Stoped a while on this parkong and enjoy the views

Going uphill again. Checking out sometimes where I am coming from....

Looks nice down there whre I came....

Coffe and study the views on greensward feels allright.

Passing Corvara and last pass before Bolzana and find a place for overnight.

This pass feels like a big one, never ending. Vision average speed now is about 10 kph so....

At last, but.......closed

A lansslide. Somebody tells also that somebody had drive in the landslide. Foully!

The Carabinieri arrive.

.....and tells the road will be closed long time. Have to get back to Corvana and take an another southern pass to Bolzana.

Well, all that work to get up there. Now, full throttle downhill to Corvara.

Downhill to Corvara.

No time for more passes today. I park for overnight in Corvara.

....to be continue.....tomorrow the Stelvio.

Day six: Corvara(Italy) - Livigno(Italy)

Early morning and all is packed.

I turn left, back to the same route I came from yesterday. But, something says in my mind that...itīs better to drive to the village and check the signs.
Luckely I do that, the road is still cloased.

I take instead the suggested road. This one will not be easier to climb on.

Next pass, passo Pordoi.

Climbing and climbing. Vision starts to get slow again....

Serpentine number 33. One more to go....

Down now. Little bit foggy on the other side. Serpentines to do also down, but much easier....

Small and nice mountain villages

More passes to ride.

...and suddenly a villages on strange places

Nice roads taking me to Bolzano.

Arriving Bolzano.

Stop and watch a while the hectic autostrada.

Bolzana, not a big city.

Forward to Stelvio. Stopes at small villages.

Stelvio somewhere far away.

Newer tunnels. I keep on the old road and arenīt in way of the traffic.

Shopping. I live on bread and coffe daytime. Like it that way, fast and easy...

Have been an intensive traffic and I feel stopping the traffic.

Have now turned to the road to Stelvio. Traffic is much much calmer now.

I can see now the Stelvio area.

Climbing on serpentines starts now. On the parking down there I can see the Italian bikers. I have pass theme couple of times now and this time they are waving to me.

Noticing Iīm starting to get on higher ground. Vision gets slow, very slow.

Serpentines in the forest ended and Iī, getting to the climb after the hillside.
