I think that the Rocksmith game will be the third leg in something like this.....Is the game worth it...I think that it is, is it the only thing you need...no.

I'm still of two minds about Rocksmith.
While I think the idea is kinda cool, the playlist isn't that great to me. |

They have added quite a bit of downloadable songs....granted you have to pay for them, but the catalog is getting quite a bit larger.

For my amp dilemma from a few pages back, I think I might give the Orange Micro Terror a shot. I know I knocked Orange on lack on the versatility/price ratio a page or two ago, but it looks like they built around a price point with this one, and I think they made it work.
20 watts, like 3 pounds, $150, pretty immaculate reviews, and a tube preamp. I could use my crappy old 1x12 combo as a cab or the 4x12 for some extra low end, as they retain the variable impedance, which is really nice.

I am so glad you like it....I think it is a great first little tube amp....nice and light, seems to be built tough...and sounds great.
This is the amp I take outside (when it is warm) and play on the back deck, the dog has knocked it over more than once....and it still works great. Good little amp.

There's quite a few free DLC songs as well. I've decided I want to try the game, just trying to find a copy WITH the cable now.

So I picked up the Orange OR50 head a week ago and VERSATILE is the word for it!! There's a couple half decent YouTube reviews of it but they don't really do it justice, Fender cleans to way way overdriven distortion and all points in between. One thing that was immediately apparent was how each different guitar's character was so defined!! I'm really in love with it, I've only heard good things about the terrors but haven't played with one YET!!!!

Made the winter adjustment of the truss rod in my guitar. Much happier now.

It was not long that I learned that some "crazy guitar people" keep their guitars in basically a huge humidor.

This is my dads Rainsong. Completely carbon fiber and there's no truss rod. But the humidity doesn't change much here anyway
