Prelude to Closing the Church of the Air Cooled Twin
A decade in one spot. Life changes. It's positive.
The Church of the Horizontally Opposed Air Cooled Twin is shuttering. All bikes are on charge, air in tires and oil topped for a 3 mile move. Into... The Cave of the Horizontally Opposed Air Cooled Twin. I'm still the Paster, dammit. I have a certificate I got online that says so. Das pooch relaxing before the festivities begin: http://www.facebook.com/video/video....ideo_processed

Moving. Had the perfect garage/bar/hang out place full of SWMBO motorcycles and mine. Now we are moving into a nice old house circa 1925. No garage, but ample room for motorcycle storage.
All BMWs are moved...it was 25f when I rode the R100RS and Das Beast over. Mojo, my 1966 R60 did not want to start easy in the cold, so she was trailer queen for the day. The wife's Ducati 750 Monster and. Triumph Legend 900 would not light due to bad gas and weak batteries. Ducati on battery tender now; Trumpet has too much fiddly parts to get to the battery to put on charge at the moment. I'll lock down the old Church and get to it on a warmer day. Working four 12.5 hour days so nothing will happen until Wednesday. The Triumph can sit pretty until then.

If I could find my camera, I would take pictures. You want pictures, there is a thing called "Television". Go to.
My life now is boxes, newspaper, stray furniture and one confused dog. I have to compliment my wife. She almost collected on insurance for putting that @$@#!@!@!$ box on the stairs that I "found" at 0500 this morning. There is no electricity for my motorcycle lift. No plugs for battery tenders. Dry storage is about all. It's going to be interesting.

Good Luck
I just moved to a new apartment after twenty years, one completed divorce..one twenty four year old son who is graduating from RIT, with a BS in Environmental Management..one NEW marriage and now a six year old daughter.......Have put 58,000 miles on my first and thus far, only street bike.
MOVING SUCKS! However, it can also be FUN! Enjoy the CHANGE. Ride Fast and Safe! HAPPY NEW YEAR.... Best wishes always. spo

Triumph Legend 900 surprisingly... started. Well slap me silly. Of course, the first time I tried it was in the 20's (when I rode the BMWs over). Now it's in the 40's and low 50's... it starts.
Ducati has a hot battery now, so it should crank. Now to get them over to the new Chateau. "The Cave" is coming along, but aside from one lone fluorescent light, no electrical connections. Soon though. And on and on it goes. Still boxes to unpack here, and more to get out of the old house. Four days off, so time to step to! As soon as the iPhone charges, photos.

One can read if they like. I care not. Que Sera sera and all that. After 50 years on the planet and 300,000 miles on two wheels (when I quit counting a decade ago - 2003 for mouth breathers), whatever.
Hunter S. Thompson and Edward Abbey are my favorite authors and have helped shaped my view of the world. Oh, and the photo to the left? Done over 25 years ago with a QuickCam and hand colored with Pagemaker as the first digital pictures (I was an early adopter (but I find I love words more). In fact, the first version of Classic Boxer Charging was done with a Quickcam. Those were good days, the days before the mall crowd discovered computers. So... get used to it bubbas.
