I just ordered a surround from Trail Tech. The next project for the bike is getting the inspections done and the paperwork sent in.

You'll like it sumo'ed. Mine was fun on street tires and one of the more fun bikes I have owned to date.

Ok. It's finished. For real.
I had it down at the shop for the safety inspection, so I can get a title for the bike. I had them add some LED's that I got off of ebay. I'm sending the paperwork off to the DMV tomorrow for the title. Plating next.

How about a full on test ride report once you get some miles on it?
Cover stuff like: Is 80cc enough for your type of riding? Stiffened suspension good enough? Handling? MPG? Anything you would change? Comfort? ETC ETC Great job on the build! |

I got this as a fun project and to give me some experience wrenching on bikes. I did what I could, and what was plainly over my head, I took to the shop. I can already tell that 80cc's won't be enough. I may see what big bore kits are out there at some point.

I received my plates on Saturday. The bike will run a solid 50 mph on the street and still have a bit of throttle left.
I modified my front fairing to accept the LED aux lights. Sadly, the dremel slipped a couple of times. ![]() ![]() ![]()
