690 Touring Windscreen
Does anyone have any pics of the 690 Enduro headlight mask after theTouring Windscreen has been removed, can you just fit the mounting bolts in like blanks to tidy up the look with the screen removed. I want to be able to have it off mostly but want to be able to fit it when I need it but want it to look tidy when it is removed.

Mine is still on, but it's only four screws holding it on that pierce the mask so I imagine you could stick some orange or black rubber plugs in there and it would look neat enough. or just leave the holes open - nothing unsightly about that IMO. i think the easiest way of accomplishing your goad from a practical standpoint is to put those white plastic butterfly anchors in the holes so you can easily remove/attach the screen with wood/sheetmetal screws. Glad I thought of that. Going to do it tomorrow!
Frankly, I suspect the turbulence on the hwy is better without the touring screen. I'm 6-2. Have yet to try it though as I bought the bike with the screen.

Mine has a black mask,
so I could cover the four little holes with black electrical tape, but I haven't taken off since I installed it nearly 5 years ago.

it was one of your pics that raised my question.. wonder why ktm says no R model.
I wonder it was anything to do with the earlier R models using the rubber bands to secure the mask ? |

Which is because on the 08/12/13 models they used the larger headlight, larger dash with tach which sits more forward, 09-11 uses smaller headlight with different shaped mask and dirtbike sized dash.

Think ill just order the R screen, move my lines behind the mask and graft it on somehow. Unless I can get a newer mask to fit ?
