-bumping this thread which has everything of a 'barnfind' -kudo to your blog which has this remarkable ride report and the much announced part II that never got through. -a tribute to an regular fellow that just rode his stock motorcycle with all the gusto of a true human. -a call to something like those humongous Alaskan signposts that would direct to reports that are so out of the ordinary and peculiar as this one.

Is that a hint, sir?
![]() By the way, an attempt to reconstruct the route and a ride has been made sometime ago. I had the impression it turned out a bit of a disappointment. A reenactment would likely benefit from a decent dose of dirt roads, small bikes and big balls. Remember the scene where a deer jumps in his path, he starts shooting, then realizes not having room for the venison so just swerves and rides on in a cloud of dust and gunpowder. 1916 rocks!
