What would be the best adhesive for mounting case armor to my DR650 ?

Hi temp silicone, thickly applied, so you have cushion between armor and case. So maybe 3/16" to 1/4" thick snakes of silicone, which will smoosh down a little (maybe 1/8" to 3/16") when you press it home. Check position, then apply masking tape to defeat gravity until it cures.
