I dunno what's worse: getting one on the road or walking out to the bike in the morning and discovering a flat has ruined your planned ride:

Not quite yet remote. Not nearly as impressive as some of the other stories on here.
After a few failed attempts to patch it, I put a front tube in and rode back to the dealership a few miles back. Oh the looks I got once I told them I put a front tube in the back tire. ![]()

Now a flat while being cold and wet that would be inconvenient. ![]() Not familiar with the Concours. What makes the TPS stand out in relation to others?

It has given me early warning of a puncture. It was a slowish leak and I didn't have a repair kit with me (always do now) so I was able to ride from gas station (I was after their compressor not the gas) to gas station keeping an eye on the tyre pressure until I got back to civilisation and a bike shop to fix the tyre.

So you got lucky having access to compressors on the escape route. In a similar situation I had to rely on the bicycle pump strapped to the frame. Took me 30-40 mins of pumping for every 6 km. Still beated pushing the loaded bike, but I didn't made it home before dark.

![]() Sweaty Mr Markie - it was in the desert east of Zaragoza in Spain and HOT ![]() Luckily there was an irrigation channel 10 meters away so I could wash up / cool down afterwards, although I think my mate was hoping for a "Markie plunges into the water" shot.... ![]() cheers Markie

The plug I put in this stuffed tyre got me 500km to home. Tyre did not look quite as bad when I got the puncture. Hot weather and rough roads really did the tyre in.
