![]() I would love to own one of those but wonder if the size of the dealer network would be a problem.

The brakes are not the same as other KTM's - it the first time they use that brand on one of their bikes.

I just read an oz dirt bike mag review that said KTM were having a hard time keeping up with freeride orders in their current market countries, I guess it's difficult to know what sort of response the market will have to a new style of bike.
The original shipment of 2013 model freerides to Australia last september was only 20 bikes and they were pre-sold before they got here. If you guys in the states don't get the 2013 model, the good news is that KTM get their following year bikes out pretty early, so you'll get 2014 bikes in september (although that seems like an eternity when waiting for a new bike). Here's a goood write up from Dirt Action Magazine in Oz. http://dirtaction.com.au/2013-ktm-freeride/ One67 screwed with this post 01-07-2013 at 10:07 PM Reason: More info |

Hybrid trials/trail bike based on the old Scorpa T-ride chassis. Scorpa was bought out by Sherco and Sherco replaced the Yammie 250 4 stroke motor with a trials 2 stroke engine. I have a Sherco X-ride on order... have had it on order since last July. Just got a call yesterday from the local dealer I'm purchasing the bike from and it seems the bikes have just made it into the states. If you're interested in one, call Ryan Young at Sherco USA to order one.

Cold starts
Just a question to you people with Freerides, do they start easily from cold ?
Mine takes too long to start IMO, it takes at least 3 long wind ups with the starter before it fires. When I say cold, I mean starting for the first time in a day, not cold cold as where I live it's been 35 celcius every day for the past 2 weeks. It was a bit hard to start when it was new ,but I figured it was just tight and would loosen up, it seems to be getting harder to start. |
