Just picked up a Samsung LED 1080p with 120hz in a 39" for under $400. Still trying to figure out how to mount and wire it up on my wall. Guess I have to fish the wall.

We have a Sony Bravia 55 inch LED. It is 3 yrs old, the extended warrentee is up next week. It quit, again, third time since new.
![]() I don't usually buy the extended warrentee on stuff, but glad I did this time. |

One new question. Edge lighting, good or fair? I've read that auto-darkening doesn't work with edge lighting. If true, which one to get?

UPDATE
Back to Costco today. Now thinking a 50" TV will be best. Samsung will be the brand. Did some checking and think we'll get a rear-lit model instead of a side-lit. I much favor picture quality over thinness and power use. Looks like the rear-lits cost less, even tho they cost Samsung more to make. ![]() Also looked at "full motion" wall brackets. They only go up to a 47" TV capability. So what happens if I put a 50" TV on it? Do I just lose some moving range or is the restriction weight based? It's rated for 60 lb, IIRC.

Might also be based on the bolt pattern on the back of the TV, but most likely just a limit in range of motion as long as the weight limit is respected.

I doubt you'd find a better deal than a VIZIO. I have 3 of them, a 19, 32 and 42", and all have never given me any issues at all and the pics are great.
