So, this looks like whatever happens, you may only may swap your engine with one of your own spare engines that were marked as yours during scrutineering. You're not allowed to use a competitor's engine.

Seems like the Spanish picked up on this and aren't very happy.

What is the definition of 'race'?That day's stage.
That day's competitive?
The complete event?

In the TV commentary, it is continually infered that each competitive is a race in itself.

If the definition is limited to the competitive sections, then there is a number of races. Engine swap legalities would vary accordingly.

That doesn't make sense to me Grabbo is a leader not a follower. He would be kicking himself for been lead up the garden path

it was pissing with rain and hard to see, plus the next 10km of the course sort of matched the roadbook, until it was clear it was the wrong creek bed

There's a lot of Cyril goes that way we better follow going on this year. The younger faster riders seem to be using him as a tour guide when they hit the more navaguessie sections maybe he led them up the path to teach them a lesson.

Good to see it hasn't hurt his overall time, sound like they have had every condition thrown at them, and all the Aussie's are doing a great job.

Spewing for Olholm. Original decision to neutralise at WP9 gave him 7th, 12th overall. New decision to award everyone Peterhansel's arrival time gives him the same as stage 7. 18th, 15th overall.

If Cyril really wanted to do their heads in, he should lead them up the garden path, have a 'mechanical issue', then after they all continue the wrong way, turn around and get back on the proper track.

Cyril went the worng way as well, just that by the time he came along the others had headed back again to the original track so he was lost for a shorter time than them.........remember he started quite a bit later due to his slow Day 7 time re the 5th gear issue

Damien Grabham told me how he and Cyril went around in circles for 30min together on Safari 2011..............so while he is good, even the best get it wrong at times
