I get a slight sensation that the FranceTV guys are mocking the whole mud/water situation. =)

I was thinking about that as I wrote, but I assume that saying to the clerk of the course, (or race directer or who ever it is that runs the show on the ground) that you are going to swap engines with another competitor, and here, have a look at my car at technical scrutineering, is slightly different.
But I will also publicly admit that you would know a hell of a lot more about it than me, so I will subtract my statement.

Update from Dave (RMS)"
Freedom crew has had a few interesting days. They Taco'd rim on the support truck and the RV had used both spares. They had long drive through the Andes with snow. Then the RV needed to be towed for 176k's. RALLY RACING!!!!

The frustration shown by Nasser when interviewed directly after he's been towed from the pit he got stuck in: I want more of that frustration in the rally overall, more desperation! Perhaps it's there among the racers and it's just not conveyed to the viewers, but in the end I'd like to see more of it.

Le Patron now at 24:26 behind with his 15min, If other top runners swap engines and he keeps that one makes it 9:26 with 6 stages left...plenty of days to make it up
