Back in the trailer market, more specifics this time:
  • I need something that will fit the Ural and the VStrom (the big hoss won't it in the van with the DR), so looking for 6+ feet wide and a decently long deck.
  • ~15" tires as it will see lots of highway use, spare would be a big plus.
  • Tongue jack, preferably with a wheel on it.
  • Ideally I'd like stake pockets on it, splitting the cost with my dad who needs something that can be used as a utility trailer. Of course I can rig something together with u-bolts if needed.
  • Ramps would be a big plus too.
Looking to spend around $1000, PM me if you have something, thanks,

Geoff

2006 yz250 woods bike

I just bought a beta 350rr......yehaw,
time to see if I like 4 strokes...?

Im putting my yz woods bike up for sale to recoup some costs.
I love this bike and have treated it very well, has it been ridden hard and crashed sure, but it has always been well maintained and cared for, and it has never let me down

This bike was a replacement for a 2007 ktm 250xcw and is a great woods bike. I bought it with about 10 hrs on it and have ridden it for about 3.5 seasons

it has a long list of stuff.

rekluse exp 2.0 (with a sunline clutch lever to regain lever adjustment)
13oz Steahly FWW
timing retarded 2 degrees
clarke tank
flatland skidplate and rad guards
PMB kickstand
FMF gnarly
turbine core silencer
fatbars and a scotts mount (Im keeping the damper)
Hitchcock revalved suspension for fast trail riding (more XC than XCW in ktm speak)
stock springs so best suited for riders in the 180 range
head was cut by RB for proper squish
he also cut the slide a step leaner which really smoothes out the transition from 1/8-1/4 throttle and helps it run really steady at a cracked throttle in top gear, great mod for $15.
steel braided front brake line
and im sure im forgetting something

comes with:
extra twin air filter
and a couple bottles of yamalube premix
stock take offs
and some spares

topend was done fall 2011, with yamaha piston and rings
rear shock bearings replaced last winter
as well as greased the linkage and swingarm bearings
sprockets have 1 season on them
chain is almost new, but it is a funky red and non oring......came off of the beta I bought
has funky graphics but ready for a retro yamaha red white scheme if you dont like them

needs:
a Wash but its like 10 degrees out
tires, they gave the little life they had to moab
one front spoke is broken from same trip, take it to woodys when you put whatever tires you want on it
rear shock is starting to weep, Niel hores at hitchcock can set you up for just over $100

just throwing it here cause im bored, Id prefer to clean it up real nice fix the things that it needs and sell it in the spring for quite a bit more
but since its january, and needs the things i listed im asking $2100

Selling my 2moto kit. Fits basically all KTMs except 08-11 450/505 SXF-XCF, and just needs a spacer for those as I have the extra sprockets, etc. Also have a few accessories- wheels for the track and ski, ski cover, etc. Great shape.

$2500 for you FFs ($4500 new). Offers/ trades considered.

To answer the inevitable questions:
- Yes, it's really fun. I'm selling because I won't have another chance to use it this winter.
- The best part is making sweet carving turns- you can drag the handlebar all day long, thru trees, places that sleds cannot go
- You cannot hi-mark/ use horsepower like you do on a sled. It climbs way better than you would think possible, but you have to be sneaky, rather than just blast at stuff.
- I was in awe at what it would sidehill. Basically, if you could ski across it, you can 2 moto across it, plus you can climb while sidehilling. Super fun for going on recon in the backcountry.
- Ideal bike would be 525/ 530/ 500. Chassis and suspension are unimportant, basically, it wants some grunt. I put it on my 450 and it was OK, but you have to rev the motor a lot since the 450 isn't as torquey as the long stroke versions...
- About 2 hours to install the first time. Faster if you have a spare subframe as you have to remove the airbox.

Silverboy has a 525 for sale that would be an ideal place to mount the kit...

Jackets

Clearing out some closet space and thought I would try here before Graigs list hassles.

MSR racing jacket. Great light weight Gortex and Purple. Size medium. Like new condition. $50 picked up as I hate to ship.

Aerostich Roadcrafter size 42. This one comes pre-faded to give you old school cred. No damage but it has been worn and used, This is Gortex also. zippers and Velcro work as they should. $100 picked up.

Or trade straight across for Blake's W650. Other bike stuff would also make for trading material.

Marc

$5,500 OBO. Trade options listed below. Can do pics upon request until I get them in the ad. I'm not in a hurry to sell it, so please don't think you can low ball your way into a deal. At least attempt to wine and dine me with some good haggling.

Buyer pays shipping, tax, title, license. I have a few people I could recommend for good shipping quotes though.

1998 Pontiac Trans Am
Clear Kentucky Title in my name
The car runs good and pulls extremely hard, but has been a pain to get started lately.

LS1

85,xxx miles
2,xxx miles since all modifications
Car turned 404hp/391tq AT SEA LEVEL. Numbers will be lower here.
At R.P.M. in Garner, NC, the car was custom tuned by Ryan Robinson who also built the fastest Nitrous LS based car and held the record for three years and also built the fastest SUV in the country at the time.
Has not been on the track since it was stock so no times.
Has been in storage since 2008. It has a few rough spots as well as some dust and dirt from sitting inside a dusty shop.

Engine modifications:

5.3l heads, ported, polished, milled to 58cc chambers
Futral Motorsports F13 Cam, 230/232, .595/.585, 112LSA
Comp 918 beehive valve springs
Comp pushrods
Stock rocker arms
Morel lifters
Cometics head gaskets, .042
BBK intake (powdercoated intake)
Ported and polished LS6 throttle body
MTI induction lid
Later LS6 style valve covers (powdercoated black)
Hooker ceramic coated longtube headers
Dual dynomax bullets, dumped at the back of the trans
LS2 Timing chain
LS6 Oil pump

Trans:

The car was originally a six speed but I swapped out to a built TH350. It still retains the clutch mechanism and pedal for the manual trans.
Does not include manual trans.
Built TH350
Coan 4200 custom spec'd converter. I don't know the STR.
B&M hammer shifter
Trans cooler
Steel custom length driveshaft
BMR transmission crossmember (powdercoated red)
Lokar dipstick

Rearend:

The rearend is a stock GM 10 bolt with 3.42:1 gears.

For an extra $1500.00 - A BRAND NEW Strange GM 12 bolt will come with the car. It is narrowed 3" each side, spooled, 33 spline axles, 5/8" lugs, and has an LPW Ultimate aluminum cover with adjustments for loading the main caps. I am selling the rearend seperately for $1950.00

Suspension modifications:

QA1 coil overs on the front with 275lb. springs
Spohn adjustable torque arm (powdercoated red)
Spohn adjustable cross member brace (powdercoated red)
BMR transmission crossmember (powdercoated red)
Spohn adjustable panhard bar (powdercoated red)\
UMI Performance subframe connectors (painted red)
UMI Performance adjustable lower control arms (powdercoated red)
Softer than stock rear springs (from a V6 car)
Factory rear shocks
Factory rear sway bar
Front sway bar removed (no, I don't have it anymore)

Weight removed and no, I don't have any of this stuff anymore:

Front sway bar
Rear seats
Sound system (head unit, speakers)
Heat, to include all ducting and heater controls
AC unit, to include the AC condenser, AC unit on the firewall, and all controls
Power steering system
Traction control system
ABS system
Airbags
Spare tire and jack
Front bumper support
Rear bumper support
Foglights
Front turn signals
Front inner bumpers have material removed

Misc. mods are as follows:

Line lock
Adj. brake proportioning valve
Nitto 555R rear tires with approx. 60% tread left
Front tires have approx. 80% tread

The only trades (and of course cash to even up the trade, either from my side or yours) I will consider are:

KTM 950 Super Enduro
Trials bike

The bad:

Some of this I've been working on off an on.

It is obviously missing a lot of stuff. On one hand it's light. On the other hand it has no options anymore.
4" tear in the drivers seat
It's dirty.
Battery is dead.
Slight oil leak, I believe it's the rear main.
There is a few (less than 5) quarter sized spots on the paint where the clear is looking cruddy.
The paint is about 70% gone on the back bumper where someone ran into me. The bumper brace was out so the bumper popped in and then back out. The bumper is still good, it just needs paint.
The right front fender well has this big hole (about 1.5" in diameter) from the previous owner.
It's missing the coolant over flow tank. When it gets hot, it just bleeds off the excess coolant to the ground.
It needs a battery tie down.
Bump. Out of the Army soon and I need to unload a lot of my stuff before I take off.

I have a Laminar Lip Windshield for sale. For an older KLR (pre-08), or a WR250R. It's model K1123S. Smoke color. Used less than 1 season and in good shape. I wanted something taller. I have enough extra Dual Lock Velcro buttons for your install. $60

Here's the lam lip image, they have it mounted lower.

Here's a pic on the KLR
