I hear ya.

This was my house this morning... Third time this year I've hit -40 and I bet tonight is worse.

I remember those cold valley nights. It was -29 in the Yampa Valley last night. Heat wave up here!

You know, we've been riding the past 4 weeks in the snow without any need for screws...until last week. Screws would have helped a little here I'm sure. Thanks for the offer but I think for me to actually get motivated to use studded tires I'd need two sets of wheels.

The ATK can take some abuse by the way . Only thing that hasn't held up is the rear rotor guard, I snapped that off clean at left hand a couple of weeks ago (I knew it when it happened, so I picked it up). Given what I've done to it during my short ownership so far, I'd say that's pretty good. Oh, and all I've done to it since I brought it home is change the gear oil a couple of times, repacked the muffler and put in a new spark plug. And that's only because I was bored and wanted to actually do some "work" on it...

You neglected to mention the ugly yellow bark busters.

I think the rear rotor guard has an equivalent KTM that it can be cross referenced to.

Oh yeah, that too..along with the pro taper bars and mounts I had laying around. Hey, at least the bark busters match the ugly yellow shock spring .

Gotta look cool, you know.

The rotor guard is fine...it's the mounts that broke off with it. And, unfortunately, the rotor guard was mounted to an extension the brake caliper, which is aluminum. So..I'm going to try and figure out if I can remount it on the chromoly swingarm so I can weld it myself.
