If you are going to explore the dirt routes you need knobby tires. TKC's are one of the top choices for the F8. The Heideneau K60 is also popular, but the front is marginal at best so you're still better off with a TKC for the front if you put a K60 on the back.Or any other popular dualsport front knobby, such as D606, T63, Karoo2, Scorpion Rally, d908, K777, and etc.. If I was taking my Tiger for some dirt road routes I would keep the shinko 705 knock-off I use (Fullbore USA M40) on the back, and install a knobby front for that trip. If you want some mileage and want something to keep on for more and upcoming rides, probably would just have TKC's installed. I ran the Pirelli Scorpion Rally on the front of my TE630 for almost 4K miles, was a fantastic tire. They are also popular on the big KTM's with assorted rears. Good price too. I'm pretty sure I'm going Michy Desert Racing next. With some research here on ADV you should be able to find out the most popular offroad setup for the F8's. Use google instead of the resident search engine. Use this syntax: site:advrider.com [search term] by inserting your search words where I have the brackets like this: site:advrider.com f800gs knobby tires A ton of results come up with this search alone.

Counting down the days until I can snipe some poor unsuspecting fool's seat out from under him. ![]() PS - Thanks for all the work on this guys. I know what it involves as I've been on the planning end of quite a few events of a different nature (although usually not as big as this).
