The power commander won't have any effect on your problem. It just reads the data the computer is already sending out and changes the values per your settings, then sends it back out to the bike.

But can they? Just asking, 'cause I had a dealer replace the dash in my 'vette, the new dash read zero miles, I insisted it read the correct miles. They thought too that they could re-program it but found out they could not. They ended up getting another one from GM pre-programed with the right miles. Sorry for the high-jack.

Torque specs, Please...


I'm changing my front turn signals and with the new brackets, I need torque specs for the upper tripple pinch bolts. If someone could share those with me, I'd much appreciate it.
I'm installing the DRC 602 front and rear, with the new, smaller taillight.

Thanks. I found a thread where the torque mentioned was 17ftlbs for uppers and 23ft lbs for lower, so 23Nm is just about 17 ft lbs.

That's a pic of my bike with the big 4.7 gal tank. It has taken lot's of falls,and I have had one issue. On the bottom of the tank (both lft & rt side) there is a brass bolt holding the fuel hose that lifts the fuel out of the deepest part of the tank. I believe I knocked that brass bolt pretty hard on a rock going over a log. It was slowly dripping fuel so I screwed that bolt in deeper so you can hardly see it exposed now. It has taken care of the leak about 99% so I just live with it. Just thought I'd pass that along for those who like to flog their bike.

Thanks for responding. I made up my mind to just go with the 3.1 or Safari 3.7 if I can find a bike near me or a get a dealer to respond to calls/emails before driving an hour or more.

How do you get the ADV discount? Is there a code or something if purchasing online? Or do you have to call them and just tell them to give you an ADV discount? ;)
