Cool to be back in Denver and see family again.
Had a number of meetings with the surgeon, love this guy, we should be able to avoid surgery if the back stays stable. Back brace for 10-12 weeks.. Then I can start the prep for Dakar 2014.
Final tally of busted bones, L1 (bad), L5, T12 and a number of busted ribs ( but they don't count). So all in all a pretty lucky let off.

Big, big error by Pizzolito on first part loosing 33 minutoes, but after that he has been fastest after Caselli, he even gain some time till WP6 compared to Kurt, and lost soem 3 minutes in last two WP (stop by Helder??).

Impressive but wothless due to the navigation error!

Surprising that after riding and extra 30 minutes Javier did not run out of fuel and helder did!!!!!!!!!!!
And he was ruding as fast as he has never done before in DAKAR!!

For all the chest thumping that Honda did coming to Dakar, Team Husky sure has eaten their lunch!

They are the real story here. All 3 in the top ten! Not bad at all!

I'm probably just being OCD about this, but I'm thinking if those Hondas run out of fuel a few more times, it's probably something they want take a look at.

Yeah, and remember the comments earlier on SS3 when ASO said the Honda's effort was a wimper...

Don't know if they carry it ,
The grade should change the fuel economy as it would change pump life. Not that much though. The HRC trying to short out the fuel economy probably... Either you are in for the win ( at least give your riders a f@cking chance ) or don't calculate the fuel as if you are going for some sushi in a restaurant and back home...
Some people as if today they will no longer be part of big H ... At least they should'nt

Oh yeah, and can someone tell me what happened to Nasser at Stage 9. It's been stupid busy at work and I don't have time to read the firehose in entirety to find out. There is zilch I could find on the Dakar mobile app news thing.
Nasser lost a water pump=OUT

Fuel is supplied by ASO or even bought at public stations on liason.....I think.

Out. of. gas.

Who ever did the injection mapping should be fired, sounds to me like they didn't take into consideration the high throttle position lower RPMs that are required for the sand,. The bikes are too rich and used up all the fuel.

You would think somewhere at Honda there is a dyno with air fuel monitors to check these things.

Yes I have seen that footage. Kurt has an amazing amount of talent.
