V-Strom - Scotland

Hi all.
Took advantage of the dry weather today here in central Scotland (Wed 9th Jan) and headed out a short 55 mile run, there was sunshine at first then it got dull/overcast as I drove off, typical. The bikes heated grips were switched on quickly as it was quite chilly.
Bike stored away during the winter months;

Checked the usual tyre pressures, engine oil sump bolt tightness, a quick WD40 wipe over;

Parked out on the street ready for the off;

Rode to Doune, stopped off at the 'Sir David Stirling' Memorial site;

As I approached Callander the rain started, so I back-tracked and rode to Stirling for a coffee etc;

The centre of Stirling;

A few other local bikes parked up;

As the light was starting to fade I took a short run to Phoenix Honda based at Grangemouth, Falkirk, my local Honda motorcycle dealer;

On the ride home the sunset was beautiful, my (basic camera) didn't really pick it up to well, but lovely to look at;

Nice to get out, looking forward to the spring kicking in!

Thanks for sharing. Read up on Sir David and learned another interesting item.

Brings back a few memories. I was a dispatch rider in Edinburgh for about 3 years back in the mid 80's. I rode all around that area many times.
