Friend's current Bonneville record holder in one of the pushrod classes, based on a mid-80s Moto Guzzi LeMans. Frame is completely stock. Has gone 177+.

Broke a 33year old record! 163 Peak MPH this year. Gas and NOS. Methanol and double the NOS next year! Just ran out of time this year to get jetting down on the salt.

![]() So I'm at the Harvest Classic motorcycle rally in Lukenbach on my way to Mexico , just taking in the show , when I hear this un-earthly snarl . I glance over and spot this Honda Dream. I think it's just a crap- pile illfated attempt at turning a Dream into a bobber. ![]() Later I get closer and begin to pick out some unusual details. A fiberglass snorkel to the air filter? Slightly off kilter. ![]() What's that squeezed into the pressed steel frame ? A supercharger? On a Dream ? Couriouser and couriouser. ![]() This is a Badass Bonnieville Racer. Built from a Dream , who'd a thunk it.

The steering damper is a bit too shiny, but apart from that it's the coolest thing I'e seen in ages.

![]() Saw this at a greasy spoon on the way into the Salt flats in 1977. Cb 750 ,turboed with a water jacketed cylinder though the head is still air-cooled and it sits in a big tube Trackmaster frame. I was all in to stay , it was a great opportuity to see something that memories are made of, but , my buddy who rode to California with me started going on about how he HAD to get home to sign up for the fall semester. I said , "There's the road see you in Kentucky !" But, he kept on and I gave in and we rode off toward the east. Fuck head dropped out before the semester was over ! ![]() Here are some of the cars, including one of the Vesco's ![]()
