Sena SMH10R

http://www.senabluetooth.com/product..._menu=overview

Anybody seen this low profile version. I didn't see it listed on Rocketmoto website, at least not last night.

I read the pdf instructions, so it does the same as the SMH10, just a low profile version.

Got my attention.

It exists only in the Ether.

Supposed to be available this quarter, according to Sena. I prefer not to anticipate release dates until our distributor says they're on the UPS truck to our door.

Sena told me yesterday that they would be shipping to their distributors today, not the resellers but distributors.

I am sure that would be the first time a mfg would lie about a product release though

I just ordered one through Revzilla...I got a notification from them that they were available and "in stock". So lets if in fact arrives...

I'm a little nervous, being the initial release hopefully it's not plagued with bugs...

Theree was a Sena rep at the IMS in DC a couple of weeks ago. He had one mounted on a helmet, which I checked out. It didn't really interest me. I don't want anything stuck to my helmet. Clamped to it is fine. And extra wires to tuck in some place, between the unit and the battery pack also did not appeal to me. Personally, I like the regular SMH10 just fine.

Just got an email from Revzilla that they were now in stock.......several weeks ago I put in my email addy to receive an alert.

I'm ready to jump in! I'm curious how the buttons will work with gloves on....the previous SMH10 model has the big dial which you push or turn...very easy w/ gloves. However, I don't like the bulky look of the old model.

Price isn't a real factor since the new one is only 20 or so more each I think...not the end of the world if its new technology.
