Remember this Copiapo stage last year? Neil Scott Williams around 80th position got lost and then saw some riders in the distance from the top of a dune. So he decided to follow them. It turned out to the leaders and he had missed a 120km loop! ![]() He came to the finish on the live tracking way ahead of Coma and Despres. Here it is for prosperities sake. ![]() ![]() Pity he was DQ'd but thats the way it goes sometimes.

Robby is gunning for a stage win, up 17" over peterhansel at the first check.
He clocks a CP time, but no WP time, so expect tracking and results to be wonky.

Ruben Faria is now in front, leading Francisco Lopez by 9", Frans Verhoeven by 23" and Juan Pedrero Garcia by 5'13". Alain Duclos is in fifth, 2'33" behind the stage leader and 17" ahead of Ivan Jakes. Following his navigation problems, Joan Barreda is in eighth place. |
