A few days ago a friend of mine looked at me and asked, what's wrong. I could barely speak and had to answer, that a rider of the DAKAR died in an accident. Someone I never met but still I was almost crying. My friend didn't know anything about DAKAR but asked and was interested in the stories. I met her 3h later again and then I had to asked what was wrong. She could only answer that she is sad because a rider died in the DAKAR. She doesn't understand why she was sad.

--> We are riders. Most of us are kind and nice people. Helping each other is quite natural for us. And that is a part of riding I really like ...

HRC is a Rookie this year and have impressed no one really - They are to be frank also rans

How hard is it to work out Fuel consumption ? An individual would be able to do this without a Motor Corporation behind them ? A methodical motor corp gets fuel consumption wrong often - How does that work ?

Call it like you see it ! Is HRC impressive on their first outing ? yes or no ? ( And no is not necessary a bad thing - because one only learns when things go wrong )

Not the best comparison , Caselli is a rookie with a a champion off road pedigree and Coma's bike

I believe there was only one fuel issue and we really don't know the reason, other than it has happened to Helder in a previous life also notwithstanding this whatever happened was nothing short of amateur

The HRC 450 - 100% a no, not podium material, but was the KTM and Husky 6 months after conception? - as you say not necessarily a bad thing, but I don't believe the pragmatists believed it was anything other than a 50/50 for 2013

let's revisit this for Dakar 2014, or as the year progresses
