I am glad that I got to see this ride report courtesy of a friend who forwarded a link to me. What an awesome story! I spent a lot of today reading all of the pages. Would love to take my KLR up there some day.

I loved this report. Have driven a few of those roads around Clinton and Pavillion on fire deployment and would love to take my KLR back there.
I think your report will have me looking at some routes to add to it. New year reviving this one with a new bump

I've enjoyed your ride and report very much! I would like to commend you for your ability to strike out on your own! That Sir takes Balls! Your choice of ride, is brave and smart. I also would like, if you would be so kind as to post in some way the equipment that you must have and the crap (bad or not needed) you took. Be specific brands and models. None of us here are shy! I also would be interested to hear just how far you stretched your fuel. And if that was a issue of risk? Around here (lower 48) we don't worry to much about fuel. I for one ride a Tenere and can't say I've ever much past 200miles, without being nervous.
What are you planning next? Thanks Wayne |

As another grey/yellow KLR person...I love this report and the photos!
The best mod I did was add a fishing rod holder...fishing during a road trip is a great head/butt break...catching a fish is pure bonus! Thanks!

There's lots of info out there for KLR trip prep. Fuel range is good on KLR ! Google KLR Seagull Freeriders my recent coast 2 coast. Same theme: cheap.

Not able to make a detailed equipment review at the moment as we are currently traveling & wifi time is spent routing etc. Sorry.
