18:41 Bikes: Duclos breaks down?
The French Sherco rider has been at a standstill, just before the 341-km point, for almost one hour. The bike and rider are just off to the side of the tracks in an earthy zone.

18:37 Bikes: Caselli in trouble
The leader of the bike special, American Kurt Caselli, has ground to a halt after 396 km, apparently due to engine problems.

I agree because I was unhappy with the Yammie 1200XTZ (and the 660).



I would much rather have an old France Dakar WR on the street than street up a decent bike...




Although the Tenere 1200 has grown on me, especially after riding it!
