For me riding two-up lets me ride more. If I go by myself she feels ignored and bored and I feel guilty for not spending the free time we have together. Go riding together and it takes care of both problems.

Through many years of riding I've always enjoyed showing a few girls a good time while snuggled up close.

I knew my wife was feeling secure in the marriage when she asked me to slow down in the corners.

I love taking women on the back of my bike. I rode for 1.5 years before I took on that responsibility though. The last 3-4 girlfriends I had loved riding pillion. 5 girls ago, that chick hated it, she was terrified and didn't want me going over 35, I only took her out once, she was a nutcase anyway.
My present girl likes riding on my bike but doesn't want to ride her own bike on the road. Meanwhile she's owned 2 250 cc dirtbikes, and owns a quad. She just doesn't want to ride on the road and I respect that. Just means I get her rubbing up on me more often. I did break the 1 penis per bike rule though. My good friend and coworker is kind of a dumbass and lost his license. In early December my car didn't want to start so I texted him "Bundle up and pack light, we're taking my bike" and picked him up on my KLR. It was a funny site when we pulled into work, and stops were kinda weird because he slid into me. ![]() I lent him my spare Icon helmet that's a medium, fits most women I've dated. When we got to work I told him "Eric you're the first person to wear that helmet that I haven't slept with" ![]() It's fun making him feel awkward, perhaps enough of that and he'll get his shit together and get his license back. |

Good post for one started so long ago.
It seems a lot of people here ride for different reasons. The "extra weight" and "getting laid" comments are funny though. Getting laid isn't a problem, the extra weight? Really? Is your butt that in tune with the universe? If so, OK. My wife has more miles and time on pillion that most folks ever achieve. It is our quality time. Time away from phones, TV, computers, work and all the other distractions of life. The kids are grown, but it is still "our" time. I know I ride a differnt machine than a lot of people here, but the "weight" is missed when it isn't there. It also has no effect on the handling. Sounds kina lame to me, especially with the level of "expertise" a lot on this forum claim. Share a saddle. It takes more love than a bed. YMMV |

![]() We did 1500 miles in 4 days. Lots of twisties and gravel. I think she enjoyed it even more than I did, She bought her first bike a few weeks after this trip. Spent lots of time at the gap, I was actually afraid to ride it without her on the back, even though she offered. I have almost zero solo twisty road experience on the 625, every time i ride somewhere good she wants to go. The only time i ride it solo is commuting. She is hands down the best passenger i have ever had though. I got second place in the "slow race" at VMD with her on the back. We beat a bunch of solo riders on mopeds. |
